The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) was launched in September 2009 by a team of passionate Cambodian young entrepreneurs from various business sectors. It was established as a volunteer-driven non-profit organization with the ambition to empower young entrepreneurs and enhance youth entrepreneurship. We firmly believe that a country’s next-generation economy’s progression largely depends on the young professionals’ readiness to become entrepreneurs and business leaders, thereby contributing to its economic growth and general development. Through its establishment of a networking platform, sharing and synergizing business opportunities, YEAC wants to contribute to productive employment and sustainable development of Cambodia’s future economy.
YEAC’s vision is to have Digital, Inclusive, and Innovative Cambodian MSMEs. Therefore, the following six challenges are identified as priorities in the new Strategic Directions for 2020 – 2025 will serve as the strategic roadmap for YEAC’s operational planning. It gives YEAC a more relevant and innovative role in advancing Cambodian young entrepreneurs’ interests. All of these are opportunities to contribute to a more versatile business environment by applying YEAC’s skills, experience, influence and resources.
Young Entrepreneurs are smart and innovative. They are key drivers of the economic engine that create jobs and wealth. As the president of this dynamic association, I set forth four key actions to pave the way and propel growth for Cambodian young entrepreneurs.
We have devised strategies and action plans to achieve our goals. We work as a team of committed men and women willing to be at service to our nation.
Have regionally competitive and resilient Cambodian SMEs fostered by innovative capacity and existence of enabling Policy, Business and Regulatory Environment.
This includes training, digitalization, access to finance, business matching, international reach, business referrals, representing their voices, among others.
Engage in policy advocacy with governments, development partners and other business associations for the long-term health and growth of the private sector.
Represent Cambodian young entrepreneurs on the international stages on equal footing.
Build a sustainable and well-functioning association. We have in place the Strategic Plan 2025, outlining our vision and mission.
YEAC will be under the direct supervision and guidance of appointed Board of Directors (BoD).
